Inside, reliefs remain exceptionally legible and the progression from bright courts to the dark sanctuary can still be experienced as its architects intended.

Practical Note
Edfu is reached by a short transfer from the river embankment. Much of the temple is shaded and the site is comfortable in the morning or early afternoon.
